SCGIS 2016 Scholar Program Photos & Videos (main)

The SCGIS 2016 Training program is taking place at the University of California Blue Oak Ranch Reserve, as guests of Dr. Michael Hamilton, whose leadership as director of the UC James Reserve was so instrumental in the early founding years of the society, when the James was our primary residence and spiritual home during the early 1990's when the idea of a society was born. The Blue Oak Ranch Reserve is the latest and largest of the UC Research Reserves, together comprising a system of 39 reserves protecting an area of over 750,000 acres of natural ecosystems, larger than the area of many countries. SCGIS is indeed fortunate in being allowed to conduct its international training program in the natural beauty of this private research reserve. Most of the photos below were taken at the reserve during the training.
